The Dune buster along with its capable platform had electric motors which were developed for Formula E and coupled it with the DTM engine as a range extender. Although the initial years proved to be tricky, the learning from those years culminated in them along with the legendary Carlos Sainz Sr winning the 2024 edition of the Dakar Rally.
